Today’s entry into our Best Mods series will be looking at the best mods for Jawa. While I don’t use this character often (and neither does anyone else), I’ve still used him enough to test different mod load outs.
Nominally an attacker, Jawa has low damage and doesn’t excel in any area of the game. However, Critical Damage mod challenges require a team of Jawas, so knowing how to get the most damage out of Jawa is a must.
Main Focus: Jawa’s unique, Ambush Tactics, gives him 6% evasion for each Jawa ally, and he gains 30% TM whenever he dodges. This should lead to steady TM gain, especially with Jawa Engineer granting TM as well, so Speed is not the main focus. Increasing damage on the other hand, should be your top priority, so Critical Damage and Critical Chance should be your main focus.
Additional Areas to Focus: Jawa’s basic attack can inflict Speed Down, and his AoE special can inflict Stun, so Potency is an important secondary focus. Despite being able to gain a lot of TM, Speed should also be a secondary focus simply because you can never have enough Speed in SWGoH.
Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH:
The following mod setup will need to be tweaked depending on which leader is being used, and gear level, to prevent over-stacking Crit Chance and/or Potency. That said, the general mods for Jawa should be;
- Transmitter (Square) – Crit Chance/Damage mod with an offense primary and a secondary focus on critical chance, speed, and potency.
- Receiver (Arrow) – Crit Chance/Damage mod with a speed primary – all other stats gained are bonus, but critical chance and potency are prefered.
- Processor (Diamond) – Crit Chance/Damage mod with a defense primary and a secondary focus on critical chance, speed, and potency.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – Crit Chance/Damage mod with a critical damage primary and a secondary focus on critical chance, speed, and potency.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – Crit Chance/Damage mod with a protection primary and a secondary focus on critical chance, speed, and potency.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – Crit Chance/Damage mod with a potency primary and a secondary focus on critical chance and speed.
Note: Transmitter, Processor and Data-Bus mods are MUCH more common. If you can maximize the stats from these using a MK V, Tier A mod that is ideal.

hey what would you recommend for a substitution for the speed primary mod? it’s honestly quite hard to comeby and I wouldn’t put it on my jawa as there are better toons to use it on.
