Rey’s Hero’s Journey is set for December 15th, 2017 – the day of the premier of The Last Jedi in theaters – and our Director of Content will live blog his efforts. Much like his live blog of the Grand Admiral Thrawn and BB-8 events, LJ will detail the character levels, gear levels, mods, mod types and mod levels for each of the five toons used in the event to (hopefully) unlock Rey (Jedi Training).
The original Rey’s Hero’s Journey event time is TBA, but LJ plans to have his results posted as soon as possible on Friday. Keep checking back and hit “refresh” in your browser for updates to this page with all details below and be sure to add your comments below on your experiences as well. All of this is brought to you buy TeeMinus24.com – makers of Star Wars & movie inspired tees & apparel.
Rey’s Hero’s Journey – Attempt #1
This is what I planned to start the event with but I may remove some mods from Finn and BB-8 to see how they stack up and give fans a better idea of differing levels on the characters. If needed, I have the ability to power both Veteran Smugglers up to at least Gear 9, and both Rey and BB-8 up to Gear 12 if needed after two weeks of gear-hoarding. In addition I have 35 Omega materials and two full Zetas I can apply if needed that I am saving for Rey Jedi Training.
Characters:
- Finn – GP 19,299 – Gear 12 w/0 pieces – 6 Potency mods with 5-dots – Speed 177 – CD 186% – all abilities level 8
- BB-8 – GP 16,465 – Gear 11 w/2 pieces – 4 Speed & 2 Health mods with 5-dots – Speed 259 – Arc Welder & Illuminated Destiny level 8, other abilities level 7
- Rey (Scavenger) – GP 14,625 – Gear 11 w/0 pieces – NO MODS – Speed 164 – attack abilities level 8, unique level 7
- Veteran Smuggler Chewbacca – GP 11,835 – Gear 8 w/4 pieces – NO MODS – Speed 96 – CD 150% – all abilities level 7
- Veteran Smuggler Han Solo – GP 11,835 – Gear 8 w/4 pieces – NO MODS – Speed 139 – CD 150% – all abilities level 7

Tier 1 has you fight with three toons – Finn, BB-8 and Rey (Scavenger). The FOST’s and FO Riot Control Stormtroopers (FORCST) are quite easy and should be dead in 1-2 hits apiece. I completed this one without any damage taken, although the FORCSTs look like they may be annoying in higher tiers…
Tier II has four characters used – all but Rey this time. Significantly higher health and protection for the enemies as I faced a single FORCST, three FOSTs and two FO Officers. The enemies were much harder, but there was only one wave of them. Nobody died, but this sets things up for much more challenging tiers ahead.
Tier III is Finn and the Veteran Smugglers – BB-8 must be getting an oil bath? I see, it appears they are in Starkiller Base and there are four waves of enemies. The second wave is two FOOs and they are weak, but the third wave is four FORCSTs. These FORCSTs are super annoying as they grant a ton of bonus Protection – the buff kind that can be removed. The fact that VS Chewie can diepel buffs with his special attack is quite valuable with these guys. The final wave (4 of 4) saw me take a TON of hits, but they hit with pillow launchers apparently as VS Chewie barely got to the yellow after probably 50 hits and Finn was stunned almost 10 times. Finally Chewie took out the FORCST which was key to avoid more stuns, and I prevailed. “Who’s in charge now, Phasma!?”

Tier IV appears that Han is no longer with us as Finn, Rey and Chewie continue forward against fiver waves of enemies. The first four waves are super easy before facing a FOST, a FORCST, a FOO and three FOTPs in the final wave – each with significantly more health than before. I try to target the FORCSTs first, but the FOST’s taunt causes problems in this wave. The offense from this group was weak once again despite taking several hits, but the win was fairly easy.

Tier V features the same three as the last tier – Finn, Rey and Chewie – and three waves of significantly stronger enemies. These guys must have realized Finn’s importance in my group as they all seemed to tee off on him putting Finn in the yellow by the end of the second wave. The third and final wave saw my toons all die without putting a dent in them.
With that, I will add mods to Rey and the Veteran Smugglers and continue below.

Tier V starts over, this time with much faster toons. HUGE difference in RNG (gaming for “luck” basically), but the better support from Rey and VS Chewie have helped Finn tremendously. Heading into the final wave of enemies fin is about 75% Protection left as is Rey, and Chewie has some Protection remaining. Wave 3 of 3 saw me dispel the FOST’s taunt and take him out first anyway, then I focused on the FORCST. Finn landed several Expose debuffs and I cruised to victory. What a difference a few mods and some RNG makes…
Tier VI is Finn and Rey versus Kylo Ren, unmasked, but not Kylo Ren Unmasked in a single battle. Kylo does have a lot of Protection – the strategy will be to stun him with Finn and tee off. Like a dummy it took me several hits to figure out how to complete this tier…

Tier VII has Rey versus Kylo and dialogue. Rey is fighting with a Lightsaber and use the spear-like attack and Kylo has a Speed of about 42. A very easy battle – and that is it!
