SWGoH: Geonosis Separatist Might – Phase 4 Dooku & Separatist Combat Mission Walkthrough

SWGoH - Geonosis TB - Phase 4

The Geonosis: Separatist Might Territory Battle in SWGoH features four Phases which last 36 hours each. Phase 4 features 3 territories as players battle with ships and ground troops. In the Middle Territory in Phase 4 there is a Combat Mission requiring the use of Count Dooku and Separatists as well as the Wat Tambor Special Mission. To fight in the Phase 4 Combat Mission you must have a 7-star Count Dooku and 7-star Separatists, all at 16,500 or higher power.

The following is a Walkthrough of my experiences in the Phase 4 Combat Mission that will be updated over time.

Phase 4 Combat Mission Requirements:

  • 7-star Count Dooku
  • 7-star Separatists
  • 16,500+ power for each individual character

My Roster of Separatists Used:

  • Count Dooku – 21,262 power – 7-stars – Gear 12 +3 – 6 gold, 5-dot mods (Speed & Potency sets) – all abilities maxed, 277 speed
  • Asajj Ventress – 23,713 power – 7-stars – Gear 12 +4 – 1 6-dot mod, 5 gold, 5-dot mods (CD & Health sets) – all abilities maxed, 200 speed
  • Nute Gunray – 21,307 power – 7-stars – Gear 12 +3 – 1 6-dot mod, 5 gold, 5-dot mods (Speed & Defense sets) – all abilities maxed, 268 speed
  • B1 Battle Droid – 20,478 power – 7-stars – Gear 12 +3 – 6 gold, 5-dot mods (Speed set +2 random with high Speed secondaries) – all abilities maxed, 250 speed
  • IG-100 MagnaGuard – 20,898 power – 7 stars – Gear 12 + 5 – 6 gold, 5-dot mods (3 Health sets) – all abilities maxed, 167 speed

Phase 4 Combat Mission Battle Notes:

08.17.19 – I went with this team to keep my Geonosian team intact as I feel slightly more comfortable with the use of them than my Separatist Droid team. The first battle has 5 enemies and is a load of crap. Before I take a turn Shaak Ti and her loaded TM kill Dooku in a single hit. What the heck is this crap? B1 calls the Hailfire Tank, and the debuffs are immediately removed by Rex, then the Clones kill off my MagnaGuard as well. I add the B2 Rocket Trooper and try to attack Rex but this is a pointless battle. Now Asajj is dead, all of the enemies have Retribution and I have just B1 and Nute Gunray with the weak Be Rocket Trooper left. I try to focus on Rex to kill him off, but cannot get past his Protection, or the Protection regeneration from Shaak Ti, then Nute and B1 are dead a few turns later. I thought the first Padme event was stupid but this takes the title for the dumbest thing I have ever attempted in this game. I get difficult, but give me a break. This really makes me rethink the money I was going to spend to get some of these Separatists to Gear 13…

Phase 4 Combat Mission Battle Notes (Take 2):

With the notes above I have decided to expand upon this content as my roster grows stronger. Here are the changes to my roster since the last time:

  • Count Dooku – now Gear 13, 21,892 power, 299 speed
  • Jango Fett – 21,370 power, 7 stars – Gear 12 + 1 – 5 gold & 1 blue, 5-dot mods (Speed & Health sets) – all abilities maxed except Notorious Reputation, 263 speed
  • Nute Gunray– no changes
  • Asajj Ventress – now Gear 12 +5, 23,968 power, 235 speed
  • IG-100 MagnaGuard – no changes

08.31.19 – While I am not comfortable with the makeup of this team, and I really wish we could get a 15th character added to the Separatist faction, I felt this allowed the most flexibility in other Combat Missions in Phase 4. So we will see if I can perform better than last time…

Count Dooku is marked immediately and hit once by the Clone Sergeant and killed. Gear 13. How much does that cost Capital Games? Gear 13 and he dies on one hit? Seriously? I finally get a turn with just Jango, Magna and Nute alive. What a load of… An AoE from the Clone Sergeant kills off Nute and Magna and Jango can barely remove protection from a single Clone. Easily the dumbest battle I have ever face in SWGoH.

Phase 4 Combat Mission Battle Notes (Take 3):

With the notes above I have decided to expand upon this content as my roster grows stronger. Here are the changes to my roster since the last time:

  • Count Dooku – Gear 13, 23,532 power, 300 speed, Relic Level 2, 1 6-dot mod
  • Jango Fett – no changes
  • Nute Gunray – now 21,517 power – Gear 12 +4 – 272 speed
  • Asajj Ventress – now Gear 12 +5, 23,968 power, 235 speed
  • IG-100 MagnaGuard – no changes

09.14.19 – Let me preface this fight with this – I hate this board. It is stupid. There is no reason any content should kill a Gear 13 character with 300 speed before they take a turn. That is just dumb, but it is likely to happen to me yet again.

As a result of the stupidity of this battle, from my experience, I am going to use Dooku, Asajj, Nute, Jango and the most expendable of the 10 remaining Separatists – Droideka. My hope is I can gain points elsewhere doing it this way since this battle is what it is.

To the battle, Droideka is immediately marked and nobody attacks – it is Droideka’s turn… I get to actually start a battle, a new experience for me, and while the Clone Sergeant and ARC Trooper wreck my team, at least I do not feel so ripped off my the game, at least not until Ponds 1-shots half my team. My best effort yet, but all I get is the 110k deployed to try and fight the battle.

Phase 4 Combat Mission Additional Notes:

I am not planning to continue these walkthroughs until I can actually compete on this battle, and that remains to be a dream heading into October 2019. Even with Relic Level 2 Count Dooku is still too squishy as I just cannot compete.

10.13.19 – While in the middle of unlocking General Anakin Skywalker, I decided to see how these newly built up Separatist Droid characters would hold up. With B1 and B2 having enhanced Relics, IG-100 MagnaGuard’s Relic at Level 7, and Droideka at Gear 12+5 I was able to fight a long battle and get the win in the second battle over Grand Master Yoda, General Kenobi and the younger Anakin. The result is a welcome +2,033,200 Territory Points.

More Phase 4 Combat Mission Battle Notes:

Now many months later, my guild has decided that beating this TB board is more important than the Wat Tambor Special Mission since we are close to adding another star. Here is what my roster looks like for this battle:

  • Count Dooku – 23,577 power, Relic 2 – 302 speed, 134.45% potency, 3,509 damage
  • General Grievous – 32,328 power, Relic 7 – 207 speed, 156k health
  • B1 Battle Droid – 25,932 power, Relic 5 – 309 speed, 7,460 damage
  • B2 Super Battle Droid – 25,752 power, Relic 5 – 152 speed, 144k health/protection, 120.47% potency, 89.46% tenacity
  • Wat Tambor – 23,748 power, Relic 3 – 299 speed, 79k health, 68.7% potency, 74.42% tenacity

07.05.20 – For this battle I watched part of this video on the Special Mission and have the Dooku lead with General Grievous, B1, B2 and Wat Tambor. Adding the B2 Rocket Trooper right away and getting Wat to add the Baktoid Shield Generator to him is key, then replenishing his protection with B1 to keep the attacks on the Rocket Trooper while Dooku and his crew chip away.

In the second wave, getting a ton of debuffs on General Kenobi and surviving Anakin’s initial AoE is the difference in winning and losing. Once GK has Buff Immunity choose your attacks on Anakin wisely, and if you can get him with Tenacity Down, using a potent Dooku to Stun him is huge. I ignored GMY and saved him until the end and was able to get the win and the 2,033,200 Territory Points by overwhelming the little green guy with my full team in the end.

08.04.20 – A month later I used the same five and basically followed the same strategy and it worked wonderfully as I once again pulled in over 2m Territory Points by beating this Combat Mission.
