While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every toon I write about extensively. These are mod recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables.
Today’s character to review mods for will be for Sith Eternal Emperor, the Dark Side character in the second batch of Galactic Legends in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. Released at the same time as Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Sith Eternal Emperor is like the other Galactic Legend characters in the game with fantastic stats across the board and crazy good Speed. Let’s take a look at how to best use mods in Galaxy of Heroes to maximize Sith Eternal Emperor as effective as possible.
Main Focus: Speed. While the developers continue to try to shy away from the need for huge Speed on characters in SWGoH, it is still the necessary evil of Galaxy of Heroes at the time of this writing and the importance of Speed is evident in how the Galactic Legend characters in SWGoH are built. All four of the Galactic Legends in the game today have a base Speed of 365 or higher – the highest non-Galactic Legend’s base Speed is 198. As a result a Speed set will increase SEE by 54 Speed, as opposed to 30 or less for non-Galactic Legends, so there is more value in a Speed set on Sith Eternal Emperor than standard characters. With Sith Eternal Emperor, I advise a Speed set and to push his Speed up in the 500+ range.
Additional Areas to Focus: Survivability in the forms of Health and Protection first, then Defense. Sith Eternal Emperor is an interesting character and starts with the highest base Tenacity of any character after in the game – 108% at Gear 13. As a result, additional Tenacity from the mods is not needed as an area of emphasis. The main areas to focus for Sith Eternal Emperor, after Speed, are Health and Protection to get SEE to live as long as possible. In addition he has the highest Health Steal in the game at 65% (tied with Padme Amidala), making Health an even more important stat. Adding Defense and Protection will also help as the So Be It, Jedi special recovers 50% Protection for all Dark Side allies, but keeping SEE alive as long as possible is the key to maximizing your battles as once you reach the ultimate, few enemies can beat him.
In-game Mod Recommendations: Speed & Health. This fits what I was thinking so I have no reason to do anything but agree with the developers here. My only slight change would be a blend of Health and Protection based on your mod inventory, as Protection is key to his survivability.
Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH Sith Eternal Emperor:
The “ideal mod setup” can be interpreted a few different ways. If you target Speed and survivability with the heaviest focus on Health through the mods you should be able to maximize SEE’s kit. Note that the types of mods in each spot are interchangeable, however keeping full Speed (4) and Health (2) sets filled is key. Here are my recommendations for the best mods for Sith Eternal Emperor:
- Transmitter (Square) – Speed mod with offense primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and defense
- Receiver (Arrow) – Health mod with speed primary and a secondary focus on health, defense and protection
- Processor (Diamond) – Speed mod with defense primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and defense
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – Speed mod with health or protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and defense
- Data-Bus (Circle) – Speed mod with health or protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and defense
- Multiplexer (Plus) – Health mod with health or protection primary and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and defense
