SWGoH: Unlocking Jedi Master Kenobi – Live Blog & Walkthrough Guide

SWGoH - Galactic Legend Kenobi

The third round of Galactic Legend events in SWGoH is here, and unlike the first two rounds, this one has just a single Galactic Legend character – Jedi Master Kenobi. While I was able to fight the event for Jedi Master Luke within minutes of the game’s update, I will again be able to do the same with Jedi Master Kenobi as I will begin tonight, on June 16, 2021.

Below I will be live blogging and giving a guide to my experience with the Galactic Legend event. While I have not avoided videos and opinions of others on this Galactic Legend event, I am hopeful that I can add Jedi Master Kenobi to the roster as efficiently as possible.

Below is my walkthrough/live blog guide of the journey to unlock Jedi Master Kenobi. I hope you enjoy and can learn from this. I also have added links to some of my favorite (former) GameChangers and their videos below.

 

Tier I Characters Used:

  • General Kenobi – Relic 8 – 32,265 power – 253 speed, 110k health, 72k protection, 69.6% Armor – Six 6-dot mods (3 Health sets), all abilities maxed
  • Commander Cody – Relic 5 – 23,608 power – 293 speed, 48k health, 58k protection, 5,382 damage, 97.1% CC, 157.5% CD – Six 6-dot mods (Speed & CC sets), all abilities maxed (except leadership)

What Must Be Done – Tier I

Tier I can be fought 8 times granting 10 shards each time for a total of 80 shards

Attempt #1 – The first Tier has you facing a B1, three MagnaGuards and General Grievous with members of the 212th that are basically Fives and Echo in other suits. While my Kenobi got stunned 2-3 times and took only a single turn, the early focus on the B1 killed hm off first, then it was a matter of chipping away at the MagnaGuards for the easy win.


Tier II Characters Used:

  • General Kenobi – Relic 8 – 32,265 power – 253 speed, 110k health, 72k protection, 69.6% Armor – Six 6-dot mods (3 Health sets), all abilities maxed

What Must Be Done – Tier II

Tier II can be fought 4 times granting 25 shards each time for a total of 100 shards

Attempt #1 – This is a 1v1 with General Grievous using a similar kit to General Kenobi only with an Offense Up on the third ability. Using the 3rd ability for Offense Up, then the 2nd ability for Retribution and to cleanse, then the basic, this turned out to be an easy battle with these mods.

 


Tier III Characters Used:

  • General Kenobi – Relic 8 – 32,265 power – 253 speed, 110k health, 72k protection, 69.6% Armor – Six 6-dot mods (3 Health sets), all abilities maxed
  • Grand Master Yoda – Relic 8 – 32,232 power – 316 speed, 81k health, 21k protection, 192% CD, 9,788 special offense – Six 6-dot mods (Speed & Health sets), all abilities maxed

What Must Be Done – Tier III

Tier III can be fought 3 times granting 50 shards each time for a total of 150 shards

Attempt #1 – I start by facing 5 Clones and a turret, and I take out a 501st Veteran to start, then the ARC Trooper to remove the turret. With three left I use only basics to finish them off.

The second wave of Clones is another group of five with an ARC Trooper again, and since it worked once, I go after the 501st Veteran to start and then kills the ARC Trooper, before taking out the 501st Captain and finishing them off with ease.


Tier IV Characters Used:

  • Jedi Master Kenobi – Relic 8 – 42,269 power – 524 speed, 104k health, 45k protection, 214.5% CD, 110.69% Potency, 96.24% Tenacity – Six 6-dot mods (Speed & Health sets), all abilities maxed

What Must Be Done – Tier IV

Tier IV can be fought 4 times granting 1 Ability Material Ultimate each time for a total of 4

Attempt #1 – Facing Lord Vader, the Dark Side version of Anakin, I start with the 3rd ability for Damage Immunity to negate Lord Vader’s opening hit. I then use the middle ability and two basics and the battle is over – easy peasy.


Tier V Characters Used:

  • Jedi Master Kenobi – Relic 8 – 44,388 power – 546 speed, 110k health, 48k protection, 214.5% CD, 116.25% Potency, 98.89% Tenacity – Six 6-dot mods (Speed & Health sets), all abilities maxed

What Must Be Done – Tier V

Tier V can be fought 4 times granting 1 Ability Material Ultimate each time for a total of 4

Attempt #1 – Facing Lord Vader again, I use the same strategy/sequence of attacks. This provides the same result – 4 moves and I win.


Tier VI Characters Used:

  • Jedi Master Kenobi – Relic 8 – 51,937 power – 541 speed, 117k health, 48k protection, 214.5% CD, 124.25% Potency, 96.76% Tenacity – Six 6-dot mods (Speed & Health sets), all abilities maxed

What Must Be Done – Tier VI

Tier VI can be fought 4 times granting 1 Ability Material Ultimate each time for a total of 4

Attempt #1 – Facing Lord Vader for the final time, I again start the battle with Damage Immunity and work from there. I save the Damage Immunity for future use, which is never needed as I use my basic and special to get to the High Ground ultimate and win with ease. Each battle plays out like the ones before with my JMK this strong, so I suggest beefing him up to ensure you do not waste any of your resources.
