Dark Dimension IV: Embrace Your Doom is the ultimate endgame content in Marvel Strike Force in 2021, and I begin fighting Mission #11 after two battles on Mission #10. While my team not an ideal team makeup for this game mode, these non-Legendary City characters at Gear 15 are quite strong and I am already prepared with five characters for the Legendary boards after I advance. Keep following along as I continue to live blog my daily attempts and look to defeat the Dark Dimension to unlock Doctor Doom.

Dark Dimension IV: Embrace Your Doom – Mission 11
Namor, 3.47m – 41.4m total health
06.28.21 – I start the battle with my foursome facing 7 enemies and I restart several times seeking a better outcome. This proves to be very tricky with this lineup, and I eventually kill off Gamora and decide to stick with it. I keep hitting Namor and get him down below 50% health at one point, but Groot’s annoying heals get him back to about 60%.
06.29.21 – Day two and 39.0m of 41.4m health remains with 33 of 34 enemies alive. With Namor at about 60% health I put all of my focus on debuting and weakening him, and as always, I lose Punisher first. I am able to kill off Namor and start attempting to weaken Groot, but getting debuffs to stick to him is proving difficult. I cannot even get him to 50% before they kill off my team.
06.30.21 – Back again with 549k power as 32 enemies remain and I go right after the healer in Groot, nailing him with debuffs and a early stun from the ultimate of SMS. I kill Groot, but he revives with buffs and have to battle back with him getting back to about 30% health. I work him down again and lose Punisher in the process, but a well timed stun of Hawkeye and then a Buff Immunity heal from Anti-Venom save me from problems from the Wave 1 Avenger. I heal my three up and go to work on 4 left on-screen as 31 enemies remain in total. I stun Hawkeye again and add debuffs to him until finally finishing him off leaving 3 on-screen and 30 remaining. I start working on Yo-Yo sine she is on the left side of the screen with Vision, and Spider-Man is alone on the right side. This will allow for attacks on adjacent enemies to have potentially more impact. Because of this I am able to kill off Yo-Yo and significantly weaken and debuff Vision allowing me to then focus in on Spidey and finish this wave of enemies.
The next wave of enemies comes at 27 enemies remaining as 7 enemies appear with a Rescue and two Cables acting as super soldiers. I go right at Rescue, landing debuffs and stunning her from adding barrier to the enemies, as the stun keeps her controlled until I can kill her off. I land a few hits on Thor with Rhino beside him, before Rhino taunts and I can keep getting adjacent attacks on both. Once Rhino gets into the double-digits with debuffs he keels over and dies, allowing me to then finish that Thor and add debuffs to the Cable beside him. I finish Cable and switch to the left side to hit the other Thor, who is near several others. I get about 9-10 debuffs on him and realize that there is a Scarlet Witch on this board, and since I hate healers in these battles, I shift my focus and kill her rather quickly, then knock out Thor as well. Now 21 enemies remain and 4 are on-screen, so I take out the other Cable then Graviton as well. I take out Captain Marvel and have just Vision left as I realize how well these Iso-8 classes are working together. For those who need help using Iso-8 in Marvel Strike Force, check out our section about the individual characters in MSF. I finish off Vision and at 17 enemies left a new batch arrives.
7 new enemies arrive on the scene and I start attacking Hawkeye to limit his annoyance. Once I get 12 debuffs on him he just falls down and dies I go after the weaker of the two Killmongers, but lose Anti-Venom and Carnage while I blink. SMS goes down fast as well and I am sitting here, scratching my head… All in all, my day is a success as 16 enemies and 18.1m health is all that remain.
07.04.21 – After taking a couple of days to coach my daughter and her teammates to a District softball championship (they just make me look like I know what I am doing!), I am back and battling again with 16 enemies and 18.1m health to go. My team once again checks in at 549k power and all enemies are in green health other than one Killmonger in yellow, so he is my target. I lose Punisher early, again, but keep piling debuffs on Killmonger, but when I finish him off it goes sideways as reinforcements arrive at 15 enemies left. They kill Carnage and stun the others leaving SMS to take a bunch of hits and it is over fast. 15 enemies and 17.0m health remain.
07.05.21 – Back once again as 8 enemies are on-screen. I go after the super soldier Spider-Man that is in yellow health and guess who dies first, after just taking a couple hits – Punisher. After talking about 15 straight hits from enemies, I utilize ISO-8 perfectly and kill him thanks to Carnage setting him up as a Skirmisher and SMS finishing the job. However this is all of the progress for today as the enemies overwhelm me once again. 14 enemies and 16.3m health remain.
07.06.21 – Hoping for more impactful progress today, I go right after the weakest enemy on the board, Thor. SMS uses his ultimate to stun him and I get him to yellow health quickly, but guess who dies fast for me? Punisher… All I can say is he is not worth the gear… Several turns from both sides as I work down Thor and try to add as many debuffs as possible, and eventually it works and he dies. I start to do the same to Cable, but Captain Marvel’s ultimate is too much for SMS and they take out Anti-Venom before I can get a revive. 13 enemies and 14.8m health remain.
07.07.21 – As much as I prefer to go after healers, revivers and big hitters, Cable begins at 45% Health and that is hard to pass up. I continue to add debuffs and hit him and use Carnage’s middle ability for the kill – and fail. Luckily two hits later he is dead, after taking a special attack from a rare contributor to these battles – Punisher. I start attacking Graviton and get him to red health before they kill me off in another short battle.
07.11.21 – 12 enemies and 13.5m health remains, but I have not attacked in a few days thanks to the family vacation. Back at it, from the beach house, I go right after Graviton who is in red health and after 4 hits I finally finish him off. Now focusing on Rescue, Captain Marvel, Killmonger and Ebony Maw also are on-screen for now. Iso-8 is the key to killing Rescue and getting the bonus attacks, then Killmonger, Ebony Maw and finally Captain Marvel. The crazy part is all of my team is still alive, even Mr. Punisher McSquishy. When I get to 7 enemies left I get the final wave of bad guys as Scarlet Witch and Graviton are the super soldiers, and this does not last long as despite my efforts to weaken Scarlet Witch the enemies overwhelm me quickly and I die with 7 enemies and 7.045m health remaining.
07.12.21 – 7 enemies to go and I quickly realize that this battle is all about weakening the enemies a bit to set up tomorrow. I start in on Scarlet Witch in an effort to remove the healer for future days and I am able to gradually weaken her, stunning her with an SMS ultimate to keep the heal from taking place. After killing her off I get Spider-Man into yellow health but the enemies overwhelm me and we move on…
07.13.21 – 4.9m health remains across 6 enemies and I go after the Spider-Man in yellow health at the start. After taking him out I go after Rhino and Graviton and find I am in total control of this battle. Killmonger, Thor and Vision remain and I take them out one by one for the victory.
