MSF: Dark Dimension IV Walkthrough & Live Blog – Mission #8

Dark Dimension 4 - Mission 8

Dark Dimension IV: Embrace Your Doom is the ultimate endgame content in Marvel Strike Force in 2021, and I begin fighting Mission #8 after completing the 7th mission in three attacks. While my team not an ideal team makeup for this game mode, these non-Legendary Cosmic characters at Gear 15 are quite strong as I continue to try and setup the City characters next as I continue to live blog my daily attempts as I look to defeat the Dark Dimension and and unlock Doctor Doom.

Dark Dimension IV: Embrace Your Doom – Mission 8

Vision, 3.51m – 36.5m total health

06.13.21 – I start the battle and go right after Rocket Raccoon since he and Venom have the super soldier serum. I am able to land several hits on Rocket and kill him about the same time as I lose Hela from my own team, and since I used my revive to end Mission 7, I do not have that as an option. As the enemies start to get their hits in, I focus in on Star-Lord and get him into red health just as they finish me off. Not a bad start.

06.15.21 – After real life gets in the way, I start my second attack with 33.6m left on the enemies. My 546k team was able to take out Rocket Raccoon in the first battle so only 33 of 34 enemies remain, and Star-Lord is in red health. Two hits and Star-Lord is dead, so I place attacks on Venom since he has the super soldier serum. ME’s health drain sets things up nicely and I am able to work around a Colossus taunt to kill Vision. I finish off Colossus and Venom leaving 29 enemies and just 2 on the screen – Star-Lord and The Thing. I finish off both with basic attacks and with 27 enemies left a new wave of bad guys appears. Now 7 enemies are on-screen with Carnage and Venom having the super soldier serum, so I go right after Carnage and land a ton of debuffs right away with Minn-erva, Kestrel and then Hela spreading those. This leaves Hawkeye as an easy kill for Kestrel but I take a few hits. I see that Killmonger has weakened a lot from the debuffs so I go in for the kill, and while I finish him off reinforcements arrive. Now 25 enemies remain with 8 on-screen and JJ clears the debuffs for the enemies and I lose Thanos. I almost did not go for the revive due to the enemies’ speed bars, and wish I had not as they kill Hela in the next round of attacks. I get Carnage to low red before the kill the rest of my team, other than Kestrel, then it takes 20+ hits to finish her off, allowing Carnage to heal a bit before I die.

06.16.21 – I will start with 24.3m health remaining across the 25 enemies left. I go right after the weakened Carnage and kill him in 3 hits, then focusing my efforts on the yellow health Falcon and Daredevil, who had Defense Down, as I like to make my attacks efficient and meaningful. Kestrel sets up my knocking out Falcon, but a Hawkeye attack land Blind on Minn-erva, making her heal worthless for this turn. Hela dies and I lose Thanos as well, but Kestrel finishes one Daredevil off and then I lose Minn-erva. Kestrel continues to hang on, weakening Luke Cage and Hawkeye substantially, and placing her Defense Down debuffs just after Jessica Jones’ cleanses. She kills off Hawkeye and gets Luke into the red before finally taking the final hit. I failed to see, but I believe 22 enemies remain and 21.5m health remains.

06.17.21 – My 546k team is back with Luke Cage in red health to start and 21 enemies alive. I go right after the tank Defender and kill him, spreading debuffs with Hela, then using those to help me kill Daredevil with ease. I take out JJ and Venom to complete this group and the new bad guys arrive when I get to 17 enemies left. This new group has 7 on-screen with Hawkeye and Luke Cage as the super soldiers. I go right after Hawkeye with Kestrel’s ultimate, then spread the Defense Down to all enemies, then several hits later I finish off Hawkeye and go after the next weakest in Daredevil. They kill Hela, but I revive her with Minn-erva, then I finish off Daredevil to get to 15 total enemies left. ME heals and drain the enemies, then reinforcements arrive as 8 are on-screen now and Colossus taunts just as I get Falcon into red health. I am unable to get around the Colossus taunt and lose my taunting Thanos before I finally kill Falcon. I lose Hela and have ME revive Thanos, then lost ME as well as the 7 on-screen have me on the ropes. Kestrel nearly single-handedly kills Luke Cage as Thanos is killed off, then Kestrel gets one of the Killmongers to red health before getting finished herself. I believe 13 enemies remain and 11.622m health will be ahead of me tomorrow.

06.18.21 – It turns out I had 12 enemies remaining and I start by taking out Carnage right away and then the weakened Colossus. Once I clear the screen the final 7 enemies appear, and while I am able to kill Jessica Jones and the Human Torch, the remaining enemies are too strong, finishing me off with 4 enemies left.

06.19.21 – Heading into battle, I know just 2.5m health remains on the 4 enemies, and I make quick work of them, eliminating the red health The Thing first. I take out Jessica Jones next leaving another The Thing with Vision for the end an win with ease to earn 300k gold and 2k Mega Orb Fragments.
