MSF: Best Iso-8 for Hulk

Square Enix removes paid XP boosts from Marvel’s Avengers

Welcome to the Iso-8 guide for Hulk, the latest in our series about the popular game Marvel Strike Force. In this series we look at the best Iso-8 enhancements for MSF characters. While some may refer to Iso-8 as simply “mods” like in other mobile games, we will look to stay true to the naming convention of the Marvel universe and the developers over at Scopely. We at certainly do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, but we do our research and look to use every hero and villain we write about extensively. These are Iso-8 recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate in Marvel Strike Force. Note that these Iso-8 classes may differ from one team makeup to another, so feel free use this as guide knowing that these can change in differing situations within MSF’s gameplay.

Today’s character to review is Hulk. One of the original Avengers, Hulk is a Hero, Global, Protector and a member of the Avenger , Wave I – Avenger and Gamma factions. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing when Iso-8 modifications are added to the game.

Main Focus: Health & Armor. Hulk is a true Protector who taunts and is used to soak up the damage and let his Avenger or Gamma teammates handle the attacking, although he can be good for a few big hits, so do not ignore damage. Some have suggested the Striker class, so if that is something you plan to test out, damage would be your first stat to focus in on.

Ideal Iso-8 Class for Hulk in Marvel Strike Force:

Iso-8 works as a progression upgrade in Marvel Strike Force; while allowing some minor customization for the characters, we can see that all characters gain Max Health, Damage, Resistance, etc. That having been said, the Iso-8 classes that fit Hulk the best are typically the Healer and Fortifier classes. The Healer class allows Hulk to heal his teammates and the Fortifier class adds Barrier to allow him to take more hits. Since there is no clear-cut Healer on most Avenger teams, I lean toward the Healer class as the best fit for Hulk when used there. Now that the Gamma faction is a strong player in MSF, some suggest utilizing Hulk as a Striker given his slow base Speed and ability to then exploit Vulnerable Iso-8 debuffs on enemies. However it still seems that the Healer class is the most popular choice per as this helps him heal new teammates Abomination, Red Hulk, Brawn and She-Hulk.
