As a part of the EA Capital Games SWGoH GameChangers program, Gaming-fans.com is pleased to bring you the latest update information for Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. After Monday’s reveal that Darth Sion, Darth Traya and Visas Marr will be coming to SWGoH, it is finally time to give more background on the new Sith Triumvirate Raid and reveal Darth Traya’s kit.
While all of this content is subject to change, here are a few items we feel confident in telling the SWGoH community:
- The Escape button will NOT be in play in the new Sith Triumvirate Raid.
- This Raid is intended to be a team-based competition and will likely nullify the use of the “Auto” button for anyone looking for effective attacks and damage. Thus, do not rely on the game’s AI.
- The Sith Triumvirate Raid will feature 7 Tiers and in order to advance to the next Tier a Guild must first beat the previous Tier. Guilds may begin on Tier 6 and must first beat Tier 6 to attempt Tier 7 Heroic.
- Specific factions will receive bonuses in the Sith Triumvirate Raid. Continue reading for more about which factions can expect to see these bonuses.
Let’s take a look at what we know about this upcoming addition to Guild play in the game. Note that all content is subject to change – thus this can be used as a reference on what is to come, but not as the bible of how things will end up with 100% certainty.
Let’s take a look at all of this info as well as the videos made by our SWGoH GameChangers friends.

Sith Triumvirate Raid – Factions of Note – GameChanger videos
Sith Triumvirate Raid
Sith Triumvirate Raid – Phase 1
Phase 1 Boss – Darth Nihilus
Phase Ability: Unbreakable Will – Gain Unbreakable Will for 1 turn. This unit may only use this ability once, but an additional use can be gained by defeating Menacing enemies.
Unbreakable Will: Can’t be reduced below 1 Health, must be targeted by enemy attacks, Speed -10%, Turn Meter can’t be modified, lasts 1 turn.
GameChanger Notes (Subject to Change): Unbreakable Will can control the flow of the battle and responding to Darth Nihilus is recommended based on how the battle plays out. When Nihilus dispels buffs he also gain those buffs, so this is a better, stronger Lord of Hunger than we are used to seeing. Knocking out his minions will be more than imposing your will – strategic thought and planning should be implemented.
Sith Triumvirate Raid – Phase 2
Phase 2 Boss – Darth Sion
Phase Ability: Soothe – Remove all stacks of Cycle of Pain* and Cycle of Suffering* from this unit.
*At the end of each unit’s turn, that unit has a 50% chance to gain 1 stack of Cycle of Pain if they damaged any enemies during their turn (maximum 5 stacks.) Cycle of Pain becomes Cycle of Suffering at maximum stacks.
*Cycle of Pain: +20% Offense per stack, can’t be Resisted, can only be Dispelled by Soothe (max 5 stacks); Sion also gains 5% Offense and 10% Counter Chance
*Cycle of Suffering: +150% Offense, can’t be Resisted, can only be Dispelled by Soothe; Sion also gains 50% Offense and 60% Counter Chance
GameChanger Notes (Subject to Change): The Phase Ability Soothe will need to be used strategically as it is creates a risk versus reward situation. Darth Sion is expected to get bonuses on all Cycle of Pain stacks making him stronger throughout the battle.
Sith Triumvirate Raid – Phase 3
Phase 3 Boss – Darth Traya
Phase Ability: Stand Alone – Face Darth Traya without relying on the strength of others. For 3 turns, this unit takes 50% less damage, and all other allies become Suppressed for 3 turns. Suppressed allies grant this unit a portion of their stats based on their roles.
Tanks: +100% Tenacity
Attackers: +100% Offense
Supports or Healers: +100% Maximum Health
Activating Stand Alone removes all stacks of Bonds of Weakness from Traya. This ability has a global cooldown and can only be used by each unit once.
GameChanger Notes (Subject to Change): Use of a balanced squad seems to be the way to go strategically in Phase 3. Each of Darth Traya’s lightsabers will have a different ability and there is a very brief topple-like effect with Traya and the 3 sabers. The mechanics of the Stand Alone phase ability are not yet clear to me at the time of writing this – I will try to update this once I understand more about it. However, the use of Stand Alone is expected to nullify the effects of Traya’s Isolate ability.
Sith Triumvirate Raid – Phase 4
Phase 4 Boss – The Sith Triumvirate
Phase 4 Abilities:
- Soothe All: Granted to Healers and Supports. This ability functions like Soothe, but affects all allied units and removes stacks of Bonds of Weakness and its damage increase.
- Stand Together: Granted to Attackers and Tanks. Remove Isolated from target ally.
- Unbreakable Will: Granted to units when they kill an enemy.
Special buffs: In this phase, Traya has a buff called From the Shadows, making her untargetable and invulnerable until both Nihilus and Sion are defeated. In addition, defeating Nihilus or Sion will grant a buff to the remaining Sith Lords until the end of the raid.
For defeating Darth Sion: Savage Ambition: This unit gains 10 speed (Stacking), and 5% Critical Chance (Stacking) every time they perform a move or score a Critical Hit.
For defeating Darth Nihilus: Dreadful Ambition: This unit’s damaging attacks reduce the target’s Offense by 10% for the rest of the battle (stacking, max 30%).
GameChanger Notes (Subject to Change): One thing we know about Phase 4 is that the three Sith Lords will have unique abilities that will synergize nicely. This Phase is expected to be quite challenging for all levels and require an extensive amount of communication and coordination within the Guilds.
Factions of Note
Several factions will have bonuses or buffs for the upcoming Sith Triumvirate Raid in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. While details on these buffs are yet to be finalized, we felt it important to at least let you know which factions will see enhanced abilities in the new Raid for farming and gearing purposes.
Factions of Note include:
- Sith
- Nightsisters
- Healers (Luminara will now be tagged as a Healer)
- Bounty Hunters
- Galactic Heroes – Commander Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight Anakin, Grand Master Yoda & Rey (Jedi Training)
While we cannot give details on the specific buffs, we can tell you that Faction Buffs cannot be dispelled by the Raid Boss. Again, please note that all of this information is subject to change.

“The Sith Triumvirate Raid will feature 7 Tiers and in order to advance to the next Tier a Guild must first beat the previous Tier. Thus, a Guild must first beat Tier 6 to attempt Tier 7.” – so my question is – are we going from T1 or we can go from T6 hoping that we can handle mechanics and beat the game with the first try?
This is a great question and I do not yet have the answer on this. When I do I will update and post in the comments.
“in order to advance to the next Tier a Guild must first beat the previous Tier”
So T1 – T2 – T3 – T4 – T5 – T6 – T7. Seems logical to me. Just like any guild based event, can’t reach the last stages before you pass the previous ones.
This all makes sense in terms of we all start at t1 and work our way up, however I believe it is supposed to be like the Rancor. If I am not mistaken, a Guild can fight t6 initially, then if they beat it, can fight t7 Heroic. Thus, there is no need to fight t1-t5 – I believe the Sith Triumvirate Raid will be the same.
It let us start at T6
Yes, thank you for adding this – we started with t6 as well.
