MSF: Best Iso-8 for Thanos

Thanos - MSF

Welcome to the Iso-8 guide for Thanos, the latest in our series about the popular game Marvel Strike Force. In this series we look at the best Iso-8 enhancements for MSF characters. While some may refer to Iso-8 as simply “mods” like in other mobile games, we will look to stay true to the naming convention of the Marvel universe and the developers over at Scopely. We at Gaming-fans.com certainly do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, but we do our research and look to use every hero and villain we write about extensively. These are Iso-8 recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate in Marvel Strike Force. Note that these Iso-8 classes may differ from one team makeup to another, so feel free use this as guide knowing that these can change in differing situations within MSF’s gameplay.

Today’s character to review is Thanos, the non-Black Order member of a Black Order team, and one of the beetter all-around support characters in Marvel Strike Force. For the purposes of MSF, Ebony Maw is a Legendary, Villain, Cosmic, Mystic, Support and a member of the Black Order faction. Let’s take a look at the stats we want to focus on enhancing now that Iso-8 modifications have been added to Marvel Strike Force.

Main Focus: While Thanos has a base speed of just 97, when paired with Ebony Maw he gains 25% Speed Bar for each Black Order ally. Thus, on a standard Black Order team, Thanos will take the first turn. While designed as a tank who taunts when NOT used with a Black Order team, the Empowered Thanos version is much more offensively-driven. As a result, I would look to increase his Damage output and Focus first, to help him hit harder and land more negative status effects.

Ideal Iso-8 Class for Thanos in Marvel Strike Force:

Thanos is a unique character in Marvel Strike Force. When used without the Black Order he is a tank who taunts and needs more Barrier to take more hits. As a result the Fortifier class works well for him, but that is not the end of the story for Thanos in this game. His Empowered version has a much stronger emphasis on damage and placing debuffs on enemies, and with Ebony Maw granting 25% Speed Bar for each Black Order ally on spawn, he is going to get to take the first turn for that team. While Fortifier works when he is not Empowered, it does not really work at all when he is Empowered. As a result I prefer the Raider class for Thanos when used with the Black Order, in an effort to get out ahead of the others and land the Vulnerable Iso-8 debuff and get the team rolling.
