My Guild decided to attempt the Heroic AAT (HAAT) this past week. We went into the HAAT with a plan, scheduled teams in each phase of the battle, researched strategies and were as prepared as we could be. Given we can defeat the Tier 6 AAT Tank Raid in less than 4 hours one would think there is a logical connection, right? Wrong. 
There is no logical connection between the two. So here are my thoughts:
- Why the heck did you bother to rebalance the Tier 6 AAT? The old T6 AAT was tough – my old Guild took over two weeks to beat it with myself and two others scoring nearly 80 million combined of that damage. We changed Guilds right around the time that the rebalancing took place, so the change was even more drastic. So while very difficult, the gap in difficulty seems way too wide.
- Make a logical, related progression in difficult from Tier 6 to Heroic. The goal of a T7 AAT to HAAT should be that T6 allows you to practice until you are ready and continue to challenge the player. The lack of any logical relation from one to the other basically hurts mid to high level players. Since the rebalance a player (like myself) with a strong Emperor Palpatine cannot utilize the Chirpatine strategy in Phase 3 as the standard attack kills most of the support droids.
Meanwhile, in Phase 4 where NOT toppling the tank is seen as the way to do things, a strong Wedge or Lando can knock out the tank and both B2 droids in one AOE attack. Thus, if you want to practice the proper strategy (if you think that one is) it will not be on this rebalanced T6 AAT. - When you launch the Death Star Ships Raid, please do not make the same mistakes. Please EA, please give us a chance to get better and work on improving for future Raids. Why you went with the two tiers on the AAT is beyond me (not enough time? delay the launch more…), but please don’t goof this up again in the future. I am no whale like the Instinctual Skunks, but I am not that far off and I would like to be able to progress through this game like everyone else, and I am sure I am not alone.
