Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is now live and the game is proving to be a hit just like its predecessor, Fallen Order. The game follows Cal Kestis just as before as you face a series of battles, puzzles and crazy terrain and exploration as you work your way through the Star Wars Galaxy on this latest quest. As we progress through the game you will face several boss fights and we will look to detail each in this series of articles on Star Wars: Jedi Survivor.
The second boss fight in the game is against the Ninth Sister, aka Masana Tide, on Coruscant during the tutorial/start-up phase. After beating Ninth Sister on our first time through the game, Mustafar Nathan and I are already playing Jedi Survivor a second time through to detail these boss fights, on the Jedi Grand Master mode, to better help players like you win. We have these set to the Jedi Grand Master mode simply because we figure that if we can give you details at the game’s difficulty, other battles will be much easier. While we do not do the YouTube videos to supplement these articles at this time, we know that many simply want a “how to” article with the details of how to win the battle.
How to beat Ninth Sister
The battle with Ninth Sister is broken up into three phases with an obvious cut scene between each phase. Below is what Mustafar Nathan utilized to get through the battle with Ninth Sister on Coruscant in Jedi Survivor.
Mustafar Nathan fought this battle with the double-bladed lightsaber due to the blade’s better defensive capabilities.
Ninth Sister – Phase 1
For Ninth Sister’s regular attacks you want to parry these attacks which is very hard to get the timing correct on Jedi Grand Master. Hit her after blocking chain attacks/or after parrying.
Ninth Sister – Phase 2
Do not attack when she is force-dodging – just dodge her when she attacks you. One of the best times to attack is after her air strike attack. Parry Ninth Sister’s regular attacks and strike back when you can to get damage in. Fittingly, patience is important to be successful in this Phase.
Ninth Sister – Phase 3
The dual wield lightsaber is unlocked and the only stance available for Phase 3 against the Ninth Sister, but it has low defense so be careful if blocking. ALWAYS dodge if possible and be sure to dodge the air strike and quickly counterattack.
