SWGoH: Best Mods for Sith Marauder

Welcome to the latest article in our series about the popular game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes where we take a look at the best mods SWGoH characters. While I do not claim to have all of the answers in this game, I do my research and have used every toon I write about extensively.

SWGoH - Sith MarauderThe Sith Marauder was released in February 2018 during what we here at Gaming-fans.com have called The Month of the Sith. Thanks to our status as a SWGoH GameChanger, I have been able to test the Sith Marauder extensively at Gear 12 in an effort to best-evaluate his kit and the mods needed, and I used him in my tests of new Squad Arena teams when testing Darth Sion (video link). Thus, here are my recommendations on the best areas of focus for the Sith Marauder’s mods.

Main Focus: As always, Speed is incredibly important, but right alongside Speed is Critical Chance and Critical Damage. I would lean toward a combo of Speed 1A and CC 1B as the main focuses. I value CC as a main focus with Speed due to the fact that the special, Victory Through Power, can reduce the target’s Max Health by 15% on a Critical Hit.

Additional Areas to Focus: Critical Damage, Offense, Potency & survivability. Sith Marauder’s basic and special can both benefit from added Potency – the basic to land the Offense Down debuff and the special to make the Potency Up even more effective. Any character with high CC will logically be a candidate for higher Critical Damage, and Offense is also going to help make those hits bigger. It comes down to what you want from Sith Marauder – if you want a heavy-hitting offensive beast, go all-in on Offense, CC and CD. Finally survivability, specifically in the form of Health, will enhance the unique, The Force Shall Free Me, which adds +10% Health Steal for each buff on all characters.



 

Ideal Mod Setup for SWGoH Sith Marauder:

Sith Marauder has a very nice kit that, with the right leader(s) and toons around him, can be enhanced nicely. For the most effective us of the Sith Marauder in SWGoH, I recommend a set of 4 Critical Damage mods and 2 Critical Chance mods based on your available mods.

  • Transmitter (Square) – Critical Damage or Critical Chance mod with offense primary; speed and crit chance secondaries, as well as potency and offense if possible.
  • Receiver (Arrow) – Critical Damage or Critical Chance mod with speed primary; crit chance and offense secondaries, as well as health and potency if possible.
  • Processor (Diamond) – Critical Damage or Critical Chance mod with defense primary; speed and crit chance secondaries,  as well as potency and offense if possible.
  • Holo-Array (Triangle) – Critical Damage or Critical Chance mod with critical damage primary; speed and crit chance secondaries, as well as potency and offense if possible.
  • Data-Bus (Circle) – Critical Damage or Critical Chance mod with health or protection primary; speed and crit chance secondaries, as well as potency and offense if possible.
  • Multiplexer (Plus) – Critical Damage or Critical Chance mod with a health or potency primary; speed and crit chance secondaries, as well as offense if possible.

 

Note: Transmitter, Processor and Data-Bus mods are MUCH more common. If you can maximize the stats from these using a MK V, Tier A mod that is ideal.
