SWGoH: Rebel Chewbacca Set to Join Galaxy of Heroes

Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes

While the details are not completely clear yet, it has been confirmed by EA/CG that Rebel Chewbacca is set to join Galaxy of Heroes in the near future. In a puzzle teaser by CG last week we were able to decipher Lego Star Wars mini figures of multiple Bounty Hunters with a character blacked out – that toon is none other than Rebel Chewbacca.

The official post from Capital Games:

You will need any 5 Bounty Hunters to earn shards of Chewbacca from the Original Trilogy, but he won’t be an easy target to take down. This will be a very difficult event that will require well geared and modded Bounty Hunters. Luckily there’s a way to get a head start.

Starting this weekend, you can earn additional Bounty Hunter shards by playing Light and Dark side hard nodes in your mission to take down the legendary Wookiee. This includes Embo and Aurra Sing! More details coming later this week.

As you prepare to capture Chewbacca, be advised that Jango Fett (25 shards) will be available in the “One Famous Wookiee” event bundle – The Bounty Hunter Ultimate Bundle – the day the Chewbacca event launches.

Stay tuned for more info on the Legendary Chewbacca!

The fact that it is clearly stated “This will be a very difficult event that will require well geared and modded Bounty Hunters” is definitely a tip to tell us that five 7-star Bounty Hunters will not be enough, and you may need select Bounty Hunters in my opinion. A Zeta lead or specific toons may be the key to beating the final tier of this Legendary Event, so we at Gaming-fans.com will be sure to Live Blog the event to help the community.

So what does this mean for Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes moving forward? First, the addition of Rebel Chewie open up the possibility of adding a original trilogy Millennium Falcon with Han Solo and Chewbacca as pilots.
