The initial Imperial Chimaera Legendary Ship Event has begin, and our Director of Content will live blog his efforts below. Much like his live blog of the Artist of War Grand Admiral Thrawn event, LJ will detail the ships used, levels and mod levels for each of the Rebel ships used to unlock and power up the Chimaera Capital Ship. In addition, other members of our staff are expected to submit what they used to unlock and star up the Chimaera during the event this week.
Tiers 1-5 were quite easy if you have focused on your ships and starred them up. Throughout, I have used the same 6 ships and have yet to use the reinforcements ship (Bistan’s U-Wing in my case). I fully realize that my account is very strong, thus I like to open this up to others who wish to submit their experience. Some members of our staff will submit their experience to balance this out and give a more thorough viewpoint for SWGoH players of all levels.
Looking ahead to Tier 7, I should have Cassian’s U-wing to 7-stars on Friday or Saturday if all goes according to plan. At that time I will have Admiral Ackbar’s Home One Capital Ship at 45/100 and intend to spend the crystals necessary to attempt the Tier 7 challenge.

Battle Notes: Two rounds of fighting, the first ship took 7 hits from all basic attacks to go down. The second round features the TIE Reaper, Vader’s TOE Advanced and three Imperial TIE Fighters as the enemies. I went after the TIE Reaper first and took it out before they attacked me once, then shifted focus to Vader’s ship. Using the AOE from both the Ghost and Home One I was able to weaken all ships and eliminate their protection, then the Phantom II took out Vader’s ship while granting all allies Critical Chance Up. While another TIE Reaper was called as a reinforcement, Home One granted everyone the special to use two turns and I was able to wipe out the enemy ships without the need for Bistan’s reinforcements.
The ship upgrade from 5 stars to 6-stars was worth about 3k in power putting my Chimaera at 42,699 now.

Battle Notes: Through two rounds of fighting the battle was quite easy. I focused on using basic attacks in the first round to ensure all specials were available in the second round. In that second round I took out Vader’s TIE Advanced first, then the TIE Reaper. After that the TIE fighters were easy and the 100 blueprints were mine.
The ship upgrade from 6 stars to 7-stars was worth +4,742 in power putting my Chimaera at 47,609 now.
